TC PHOENIX HOUSE STAFF

Peter Vassilev, MD, is a Director of TC Phoenix House Bulgaria. He is a psychiatrist, a cognitive-behavioral therapist and supervisor of cognitive-behavior therapists. He has participated in a 4-year project for treatment of addictions of UNDCP. He is the current President of Bulgarian Association for Cognitive Behavior Psychotherapy.
The team of “Phoenix” programme consists of 14 specialists (2 psychiatrists, 8 psychologists, 2 social workers, technical worker, an accountant) and 5 ex-users.

All members of the staff have participated in trainings in therapeutic community model conducted by different trainers (David Deitch; Anthony Slater; Jane Brogan – “Ley”, Oxford; Phaedon Kaloterakis, Ruud Brugeman, Igor Koutsenok – University of California, San Diego) during their working visits in Bulgaria in the period 2001-2005.
